To the immortal memory …

Yesterday
Your words which shone like the sun
Varnished the woods.

The sun went down
Preparing for today.
Nature mourned,
And the birds and the blue sky were hushed,
and not a blade of grass stirred.
Today you are hidden
from our eyes.

Yet, the echoes of your dreams
that drift from the past
remind me that this
enchanted garden,
where fragrance of flowers – now in bloom,
your words remain embossed.

Your footsteps are silent
but together shall we walk;
treading the uneven path of verse.
